Fall break is over, done, ka-put. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of arguing, fussing, and fighting that usually ensues when the kids are around each other for more than 5 minutes. I was not happy when I had to get up at 5:45 this morning. That part was not pleasant.
Stephanie and I nearly froze to death on Saturday at the Tobacco Festival. I had been watching the weather for a week just praying for no rain. I watched the chances for rain diminish as the day got closer and closer. Apparently Stephanie was doing the same thing and neither of us thought to pray for sunlight and warmth. I’ve heard several people say they found most items, including the food, to be far too overpriced at most vendors booths. After we did a little scouting of our own, we realized that our baubles were priced lower than most. We did sell several items, but I don’t think either of us would say it was a success. You can find some of our items here and here.
Chris and I got new phones last week. Another thank you going out to the In-Laws! The plan we have has unlimiited text messaging. I’ve never been a “texter”. Never saw a reason to. I always said that if I couldn’t just call them up and talk to them then I didn’t need to talk to them. Oh. My. Gawd. I love text messaging. I will probably have to go into some kind of program soon. I am still irritated with words not spelled correctly though. Proper grammer is being lost on the youth who speak in “text” these days. If you get a text from me, it will likely have the right capitalization and puncuation marks. Don’t hate.
