I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific. – Lily Tomlin

I did the photograph day.

I took pictures of what I did during the day yesterday. It gives a whole new meaning to mundane…. but I love the whole idea of this. My friend, That Gypsy Girl, found a site that allows whoever to post photos of their day and we both really enjoy looking at all the things that go on in peoples lives everyday. So I did it too. I have to admit that it was alot of work! I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to grab the camera. But I think once I do it a few days I’ll get into the “hang of it” and it will be easier. I don’t think I will photograph every day because that would get really, really boring.

I did talk to my dad last night and he sounded sooooo much better than earlier yesterday. He couldn’t talk for too long because of the drainage tube that is running down his nose through his throat to his stomach. That thought just creeps me out to be honest. He still isn’t able to eat or drink anything, but he seems to be doing well. We are still waiting for his colon to start working again. Only half of it was working for several months, so we have to wait for the reattached part to get back into the swing of things. If it doesn’t then…back to the dreaded “bag”. I know how much Dad hated “the bag” so I’ve got my fingers crossed that everything gets back to normal soon. With the radiation starting in just a couple of months, he doesn’t need the hassle or worry of having to change that everyday.

I’ve got to go get myself prepared for my doctor’s appointment now. Good day!

  1. Found this quote on the livejournal buddhist page…whadya think?"I do understand what love is, and that is one of the reasons I can never again be a Christian. Love is not self denial. Love is not blood and suffering. Love is not murdering your son to appease your own vanity. Love is not hatred or wrath, consigning billions of people to eternal torture because they have offended your ego or disobeyed your rules. Love is not obedience, conformity, or submission. It is a counterfeit love that is contingent upon authority, punishment, or reward. True love is respect and admiration, compassion and kindness, freely given by a healthy, unafraid human being."
